Sugaring Brooklyn is amazing! The owner is very intentional in her mission statement about creating a space that specifically centers folks who are queer, transgender, fat , and bipoc . I am, however, rating from a size inclusivity and disability standpoint as a cis, white woman - I don't want to rate inclusivity for identities that I do not hold though we did discuss trans inclusivity in my time there.
The space is on an upper floor but is accessible by an elevator and the actual studio was accessible to me as a non-wheelchair user with some navigational issues due to a chonic pain condition. Wheelchair users may want to call first as I am don't want to make assumptions as to the accessibility in that case. She does have two dogs so do be aware of that. The table used for sugaring is built with larger bodies in mind so you don't feel like you are falling off the sides which is so incredible! I was really nervous having bikini sugaring done for the first time but she made me feel so comfortable. Natalie asked about any pain conditions or disabilities that might make movement uncomfortable, she checked in every step of the way and explained what she was doing so that I knew what was going on, and I felt very in control of the process and able to stop and adjust as needed. Overall the process was great and I couldn't recommend her more highly.
