When I first walked into their waiting room I noticed they had extra wide seating options, which is super helpful for those of us with wide hips. They also have snacks, which is super helpful to me as someone with a disability who needs to have food with my medication, and it would be good for those with diabetes too. I saw Dr Sisto at Vermont Gynecology and she was super helpful and didnt push gastric bypass surgery on me, or tell me to switch my meds in order to lose weight (as my first obgyn did upon moving to the state of Vermont), and she listened sympathetically when I told her how upsetting it had been to have that disturbing experience at my first Vermont Obgyn. She was super sensitive to the fact that I'm plus size and dont wish to lose weight, there is no diet talk when I go to see her, which is a relief. She gently prescribed some powder for my skin to counter heat rash, very matter of fact but also sensitive. And on the disability side she went above and beyond when I came in for a surgery but at the time my meds had been disrupted and I was slightly agitated. She was very responsive and concerned that the additional pain could make my mental state worse, and she encouraged me to, and was happy to reschedule me with no penalty and no guilt, just kindness and gentle regard. She is also fun, funny, and knowledgeable! Best OBGYN I've ever had! I'm so glad I chose Vermont Gynecology.
